This whole "health kick" began a few weeks ago. I had a doctor's appointment at the end of last month that really put my health into perspective for me. My appointment was with my regular doctor for a pre-baby physical. Hubby and I are going to try to start a family when we get to Florida next year. I am so excited to begin this new chapter in our marriage and I just wanted to see how everything was running with me. I was on some pretty heavy duty medications last year that prohibited me from getting pregnant. Naturally, now that I am off of it, I want to make sure that it is all out of my system and that I am okay. Thankfully I am all clear but I had no idea other areas of my health were not doing too well. My cholesterol is very high and I am close to maxing out my weight to height ratio. I am 5 foot even. 5 foot nothin'. My ideal weight is between 110lbs and 125lbs and I was at 149lbs. 149 Pounds! I had never been above 130 in my life let alone almost 150. I have a 9 months pregnant friend who is at my weight, and she is as tall as I am.
Holy Shit Balls!
Those were the first words that ran across my mind when that number came up on the scale. Yep, it is time to get my ass back to the gym. Gotta loose weight to gain the baby weight. I think that is going to be my new workout mantra. I have to bring down that bad cholesterol level along with the scale number. So from now on it is a big N-O to fast food and sodas. Oh Dr. Pepper I am going to miss you. No more sugar just for sugar's sake. Candy...out. Ice Cream...why did I eat you to begin with, I am lactose intolerant.

Clean eating is what I am aiming for. I will most likely not keep squeaky clean, but clean enough. I am really looking forward to this lifestyle change. I already feel better. I wake up hungry, which is a new feeling. I am full all day long instead of running to the kitchen every hour to snack. And lots and lots of water which means lots-o-potty breaks. haha. TMI. Sorry, it's all honesty here! The small changes I have done have already showed some of the benefits to come. I am down to 143lbs already! I kicked those first 6 pounds in the ass. 6 pounds in 2 weeks! Whoop Whoop!
So here we go!
